MISC Commences First Halal Express Service

MISC Berhad today launched the first ever Halal Express Service, a dedicated weekly direct liner service that connects Halal cargoes from Asean, the Far East and Australasia regions to the Middle East markets via Jebel Ali and Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
With this facility, MISC will be able to provide Halal warehousing and cold storage facilities in Port Klang while the distribution centre in Jebel Ali willbe the main sourcing point for reefer cargoes.
"Our commitment is to continuously improve our products and ensure a highly reliable service. We expect that the combination of Halal Express and Halal hub by MILS will be able to serve the demands for fully compliant Halal products bt the world's Muslim population," added Abdul Hamid, general manager of MISC's liner business unit.
